This specification prescribes the performance requirements and identifies verification procedures for the Grip/Bipod, Forward, hereafter referred to simply as the Forward Grip/Bipod or FGB. The FGB provides the operator with a dual utility as a forward grip and bipod for the M4 and M16 series rifle.
