This specification covers one type of .50 caliber recoil-operated, air-cooled, link-belt fed, open-bolt firing, combat vehicle mounted machine gun with a quick-change barrel and an integral manual charger. The machine gun has two rates of fire, is fed from either the left hand or right hand side, and is fired by either a manual trigger or an electric solenoid.
