This specification covers the M9 Multipurpose Bayonet System (MPBS). This system is comprised ofa multipurpose knife which functions as a bayonet, field craft knife, combat knife and wire cutter and is carried in a detachable scabbard which may also SClVC as part of the wire cutter. The term bayonet, hereinafter mentioned in this specification, shall be the multipurpose knife described above.
