This specification covers the requirements for one type of corrosion preventive soluble oil conforming to NATO Code Number C-630, used in water-alcohol mixtures. These water-alcohol mixtures are used as thrust augmentation in certain jet aircraft engines and as anti-detonation or internal coolant fluids in certain reciprocating engines (see 6.1 and 6.6).
