This specification covers the requirements for nonmagnetic, corrosion-resistant steel wire rope used in aircraft flight controls. The wire rope will be capable of operation within a -65 degrees F to +250 degrees F (-54 degrees C to +121 degrees C) temperature range in wind, dust, fuel and oil spills, in aircraft wash-down and other environmental stresses and aircraft experiences.
