ASTM E1615 – Standard Test Method for Determination of Trace Quantities of Iron by Visible Spectrophotometry
1.1”This test method covers the determination of iron in aromatic hydrocarbons, their derivatives, and related chemicals in the range from 0.01 to 0.2 ”g/g using [3-(2-pyridyl)-5,6-bis(4-phenylsulfonic acid)-1,2,4-triazine, monosodium salt, monohydrate] (PDTS)2 reagent solution. The range may be extended through the use of a 5- or 10-cm cell or by suitable dilution of the sample solution.
