The primary orientation of this handbook (MIL-HDBK-1553) is to show how to apply MIL-STD-1553B (21 September 1978) as revised by changes of Notice 2 (8 September 1986). The differences between MIL-STD- 1553B Notices 1 and 2 are explained where required.
