The equipment covered by this specification shall provide an Air-by-Air IFF Interrogator Responsor which, when used in conjunction with appropriate associated equipment, is capable of transmitting coded signals to suitable transponder equipped aircraft, surface ships, and ground stations. It shall receive the coded replies from these transponders, process the reply information, and provide video outputs for display on associated radar indicators.
