MIL-PRF-32597A covers a non-aqueous cleaner that is free of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) and available in a low (no more than 25 grams per liter) volatile organic compound (VOC) and high VOC type for cleaning aircraft components (including structural metallic and fiber reinforced polymer matrix composite parts), ground support equipment, and other general cleaning applications (see 6.1).
